2025 Lumen Humanitatis Conferment
We are honored to announce that the University of the Assumption has conferred the prestigious University Medal of Honor, Lumen Humanitatis to Pablo Virgilio S. Cardinal David, DD., SThD.
This highest distinction of the university is a recognition of extraordinary contributions to faith, humanity, society, and continually being a “light of humanity” in imitation of Jesus Christ, the light of the world.
Cardinal David, fondly known as Apung Ambo, is the third recipient of this esteemed award, following in the footsteps of remarkable individuals who are the late President, Corazon C. Aquino and the Archbishop-Emeritus of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Most Rev. Paciano B. Aniceto, DD.
His commitment to promoting the values of justice, compassion, and integrity has left an indelible mark on our community and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Apung Ambo for this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his invaluable contributions to the Church and society. May his example continue to guide and inspire us all in our own journeys of faith and service.
