Collaboration between the University of the Assumption and Pampanga State Agricultural University in Teacher Education

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐔𝐀) and 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐒𝐀𝐔) have established a collaborative partnership aimed at strengthening teacher education and fostering academic cooperation between the two institutions. This partnership specifically focuses on collaboration between UA and the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, an institution widely recognized for producing competent educators and achieving commendable results in the Licensure Examination for Teachers.

It was attended by key representatives from 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐒𝐀𝐔), including 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐃. 𝐃𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐬, Director for Public Affairs and International Linkages; 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐈. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚, Head of International Staff and Student Mobility; 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐌. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚, Head of Global Marketing and Network; 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐒. 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐲, Head of Local Linkages and Network; and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐄. 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐧, Head of Local Student and Staff Mobility.

Representing the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐔𝐀) were 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐆. 𝐘𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠, University President; 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐓. 𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐃. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚-𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐭, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The collaboration seeks to promote the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and best practices in teacher education. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to enhance the quality of instruction, research, and community engagement in the field of education.

Key areas of collaboration include:

– Faculty and academic exchange to promote professional development and knowledge sharing

– Joint research and academic projects focused on improving teaching and learning practices

– Student engagement and learning opportunities, including seminars, workshops, and academic activities

PSAU, as a state university mandated to provide advanced education and training across various fields including teacher education, actively supports collaborative initiatives that enhance academic excellence and professional preparation.
