The journey has officially begun!
Selected faculty members from the Basic Education Department, various colleges, directors, and staff of the University of the Assumption have officially commenced their six-day 2026 UNESCO UNITWIN Benchmarking and Immersion Program on Collaborative Faculty Development in partnership with Handong Global University.
The first day was filled with meaningful learning, collaboration, and innovation as the delegation toured the Handong Global University campus and participated in workshops at the Handong AI Services for Education and the Institute for Holistic Intelligence Scholarship and Education Development. These sessions provided valuable insights into emerging educational practices, the transformative role of artificial intelligence in education, and holistic approaches to academic excellence.
The program is headed by Dr. Michaella Castillo, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) and Director for Internationalization.

As the program continues, the delegation looks forward to gaining deeper insights into innovative teaching strategies, artificial intelligence integration, active learning methodologies, and instructional design approaches that enhance classroom engagement, foster critical thinking, and promote meaningful student learning.
