The second day of the 2026 UNESCO UNITWIN Benchmarking and Immersion Program at Handong Global University was filled with meaningful discussions on innovative education, leadership, and character formation.
The University of the Assumption delegation participated in a series of insightful sessions led by distinguished educators and international experts:
Prof. Bae Jiyeon and Prof. Kim Seyoung conducted an engaging Active Learning Workshop, showcasing innovative and student-centered teaching strategies.
Prof. Kang Byungdeok introduced the educational philosophy and academic system of Handong Global University, highlighting its commitment to holistic and globally competitive education.
Prof. Sanjay of Tribhuvan University, Nepal shared valuable insights on Global Leadership and Management, emphasizing the importance of effective leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.
Kim Jeongyun presented Character Building Education through the Residential College System, demonstrating how Handong nurtures leadership, integrity, and community among its students.
To conclude the day, the delegates enjoyed a tour around Jigyeong-ri, Pohang, giving them the opportunity to appreciate the local community and experience another facet of Korean culture.
