University of the Assumption Delegates Present at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia’s 72nd Dies Natalis

As part of the University of the Assumption (UA) delegation to Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Bandung, Indonesia, Dr. Edna Calma and Dr. Ruth Balajadia-Ducut served as resource speakers in the academic forum organized by the Postgraduate School PPG Study Program of UPI in celebration of UPI’s 72nd Dies Natalis.
The forum, held on October 1, 2026, carried the theme:
“Transforming Teacher Education in the AI Era: Innovation, Digital Integration, and Responsible Practice in PPG SPS UPI.”
Dr. Edna Calma, RGC, RPm, RPm, PhD, AVPAA of the School of Health, Arts and Sciences of the University of the Assumption, presented “Beyond Adoption: Human Well-Being, Faculty Development and Responsible AI Governance in Teacher Education.” Her presentation highlighted the importance of placing human well-being, faculty capacity building, and responsible governance at the center of AI integration in education.
Dr. Ruth Balajadia-Ducut, LPT, EdD, AVPAA of the School of Education, likewise shared her expertise on AI pedagogy and the integration of artificial intelligence in teacher education, emphasizing the role of educators in navigating emerging technologies and designing meaningful learning experiences for future teachers.
The participation of Dr. Calma and Dr. Balajadia-Ducut reflects the University of the Assumption’s continuing commitment to international academic collaboration, digital transformation, responsible AI, and innovative teacher education. Their presentations also provided opportunities for knowledge exchange with UPI faculty, postgraduate students, and education professionals.
