UA blesses new three-storey academic building

To strengthen innovation, collaboration, and leadership in higher education, the University of the Assumption formally blessed the newly constructed Techno-Social Innovation-Research University Building (T.S.I.R.U.) on February 3, 2026.
The event began with a Holy Mass at the University Chapel, celebrated by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias, D.D., in observance of the Memorial of Saint Blaise. This was followed by the rite of blessing at the three-story T.S.I.R.U. Building, located beside the Msgr. Serrano (JHS) Building.
University President Rev. Fr. Oliver G. Yalung highlighted the building’s contribution to global competence and international engagement and acknowledged former administrators whose vision made the project possible.
The blessing, led by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias along with Rev. Fr. Oliver G. Yalung, Rev. Fr. Edgar Calma, and Rev. Fr. Christian Kierr Tallorin, concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Architect Edwin Michael De Dios.
