MiCoLa
MiCoLa — named after student proponents Mi (Mica Dizon), Co (Marco Roxas), and La (Larelyn Pabustan) from UA Senior High School — is an Automatic Temperature-Regulated Mist Robot with Obstacle Avoidance, developed to regulate classroom conditions by releasing a fine, fragrant mist when temperatures exceed 32°C or humidity drops below 20%. With ultrasonic sensors ensuring safe operation around people, MiCoLa earned distinction as the first UASHS robot to qualify for nationals in February 2026. This year, it advances to the Glocal STEAM Festival 2026 at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Representing the student proponents, the UA Senior High School Department led by Principal – Mrs. Chrysanta S. Rodriguez, the Academic Chair of the English and Research Department – Ms. Desiree A. Correa, and the AVPAA of the School of Technological Sciences – Dr. Joey M. Suba, will be joined by Teacher-Coach – Ms. Anniellet A. Valenzuela, who will present on their behalf.
